Ian

Ian is now a very grown-up six years old. He is a very strong-willed and independent soul who likes to do things on his own. He was born big and has always been the biggest of our children for his age. People have been known to mistake him for his older brother, although they are 2 years apart.

Ian likes to watch movies and spend time with his daddy. He loves to play in the water and his favorite activity is to go swimming at the pool in our housing complex. He can swim the width of the pool in the deep end (about 12 meters) by himself. He is very smart, and tries his best in school. He is learning to read and likes to practice his phonics with his mommy and daddy. He is also very gifted in art and mechanics and is often building his own designs out of clay and showing them to the family.

Ian is currently in Korea visiting his grandma, but will go home tomorrow. He has learned a lot of Korean while he has been in Korea. He also got to travel with his mother and father to Seoul and enjoyed visiting the Seoul Central Deaf Branch meetings on Sunday. He was entranced by the idea of talking with your hands and tried to do sign language while he was there. He even learned to say "I love you" in Korean Sign Language.
